Common or arctic tern, Cambs, UK (3 Viewers)

Hi all,

There were a couple of terns on my local patch today. Despite distant views I initially put these down as common tern but several reports of arctic terns nearby today got me rethinking and I don't see these species often enough to be certain. I took some distant phonescoped footage and have uploaded a few screengrabs and a video. Apologies for the blurriness. I would appreciate others' thoughts. Many thanks.

Its Common Tern - that see through panel on the inner primaries is a giveaway - the outer primaries are more opaque



On Arctic Tern you don't get that contrast - this works at surprisingly long range
