Hello! So I've been looking into suet for the winter, but I can't find suet or lard for sale except for a farm that I can't go to until next spring( and I think they're sold out of lard). I was wondering if it would be safe to use coconut oil to make suet bird food instead because I can buy a big tub. It is solid at temperatures below 24C. Has anyone else ever used coconut oil?
According to these 2 links, the coconut oil has more saturated fats( I'm not sure if that's important).
