CL Pocket objective caps? (2 Viewers)

Hi everyone,

I purchased a black CL Pocket 8x25 yesterday and am very happy with it - this sample seems to have much less CA than the other one I've tried in a different shop last week. Yes there is some CA in the center, but I really have to look for it (for example, using the antenna-against-the-sky test), and thus doesn't seem to be a problem.

What makes me uneasy however is the lack of the objective caps. I like my optics closed when not in use, to prevent accumulation of dust, dirt, etc; and thus prevent the inevitable if infrequent cleaning.

The shop owner found some 33.7mm caps that seem to fit, but as these are astro ocular caps I am worried that the indentations on the inside of the caps will damage the pocket bino armor. Plus these caps are cheap plastic and look really crappy when put on the CL.

Anyone have any advice on what objective covers to get?
