Celestron Ultima80 Eye Cup Issue (1 Viewer)

I've owned the U80 for about 10 years and don't use it that often anymore. However, when I do, I'm instantly annoyed with the eye cup coming lose from the eye piece. I've replaced the eye cup with a new purchased from Celestron. The new one doesn't fit any tighter/securely on the eye piece than the one I had. The eye piece is threaded to accept a t-adapter and camera. There isn't a gap between the threads and the outside barrel of the eye piece so any eye cup doesn't have space for the inside rib to settle in to. It's basically friction of the cup to the adapter threads. Also, the power is adjusted on the eye piece barrel and the eye cup doesn't rotate with the barrel. So......I'm looking for some advice on how to best secure the eye cup to the eye piece that doesn't involve not being able to remove the cup when I need to. Any suggestions would truly be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
