Catch a Cardinal (1 Viewer)

I was wondering if anyone knew how to catch a cardinal. There has been one hanging around my house lately and every time there is a car in the driveway, it sits on the car mirror and poops on it. It has been going on for about twice a day for a month now and I am starting to get tired of it. Got any ideas???

Hello and welcome to BirdForum.

First off, the Northern Cardinal is a protected species under the Federal Migratory Act so any attempt at capturing this bird would be a big mistake.

You could simply throw a towel over your sideview mirrors.

Mating season is upon you in your part of the states so you will see many birds trying to attack your mirrors as the reflection appears to be an interloper in the birds area. This will probably continue throughout the mating season so you might want to park your car somewhere else ;)
