Cape Shelduck - hybrid? (1 Viewer)

Hi, been send a pic for id. The one of the right (or should i say middle) looks like a female cape shelduck, the one on the left? a hybrid maybe?

Any ideas. TIA

Hi Jeff,
the duck in the middle looks like a pure Cape Shelduck female, but the left one is a hybrid, probable between Cape and Australian Shelduck.

A mate of mine first found these a mile from where I live in Belper (Derbyshire) back in August. They were there for several weeks before disappearing. They then turned up at Carsington Water briefly and then Staffs. This is the original thread that was started last August.

Good to see they are still about, the other female seems to have morphed into a more usual form of Shelduck (male at that!).. Wonder if she is still around?
 
And here are the two birds calling if your interested, sorry poor video quality (2mb) as it was getting dark and was recorded on camera by me :) You might need to up you volume to hear them, 2 totally different calls.
