Thaught I'd start my own post on my local patch I was there yesterday and as I arrived I noticed something new. The rotton Cammo Estate sign had been removed and changed to a new improved sign with a map which was nice which said you could see Herons, Kingfishers & Buzzards if lucky. I was there last week and noticed new paths but were too muddy to explore so I decided to explore one. I walked to a open field and was heading to the woods was looking at some Carrion Crows and noticed this strange shadow on a tree I grabbed my bins and it flew off and you know what it was? it was a Buzzard it was great was totally unexpected I watched it until It disappered. I carried on and saw a lot of Blackbirds. Some dog walkers werew bit annoying one dog was tried to jump on me but I just walked on. I was enjoying my birding on my local patch untill it started to rain so I then headed home all the birds I saw were

Carrion Crow
Jackdaw
Buzzard
Blackbird
Robin
Blue Tit
Great Tit

the best was seeing the buzzard and as everyone knows anything new you see on your patch is something special. I will probably be bak ether on Friday or Sunday.

Yesterday was back at my local patch and saw nice birds there wern't many but I enjoyed it. Saw

Magpie
Woodpigeon
Blackbird
Robin
Mallard

I'm getting a few folk coming over to say hi so I'll probably be the only birdwatcher there as I only seem to be the one with bins so probably soon people will recognize me and tell me a bird they don't know.

Hi Euan

It's nice to hear what's happening on your patch.

Buzzards so close to the city it nice to see. It appears you have a nice mix of habitats too.

Any chance of some pictures;)
