I don't know how accurate this report is, but it seems to raise some questions.

The largest solar power plant of its type in the world can be found in a stretch of the Mojave Desert; it is made of hundreds of thousands of mirrors. However, environmental groups are concerned about the effect of solar energy on desert wildlife.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that there is growing evidence that the technology is scorching birds which fly through the intense heat which can reach 1,000ยบ Fahrenheit. Apparently dozens of dead birds have been found at the plant over the past several months, with some having singed or burned feathers,
