
A first for me today.
Late afternoon visit to Leighton Moss. Sat in the shiny new Lower Hide watching a Bittern stalking along the reed edge. Then it stops and starts booming, out in plain view. It was only a few booms but you could clearly see him puffing up before each one.
Also first Swallow of the year but no Willow Warblers.
