I had a male black cap in the garden today 29/12/2023 ,fist time i have seen one , it was feeding on the suet block - hope to get picture soon , my location is M280th , has anyone else seen them this winter ,heard there could be 3000 overwintering but that number may be wrong

Yes, I've had a male visit my garden on a number of occasions this winter.

I've not had one this winter, but my first for 2023 was on January 1st and was regularly seen throughout last winter.
