Birdsong/call clicking marbles Judy Woods Bradford UK (1 Viewer)

Hi,
Does anyone knowwhat bird makes the sound of marbles clicking together. We heard this during our visit to Judy Woods Bradford today. Searched in vain but could not find the blighter.

Stonechat perhaps? Go to the RSPB site and see if you can hear it there.

I'd be surprised with Stonechat in Judy Woods, there will be Blackcap in there but GW aren't around yet. Wren would be the best guess for me.

Wren sounds good if stonechat is unlikely there.

I was pondering the exact same question yesterday - a sound exactly like two marbles being "clacked" together. When the bird revealed itself it was a wren.

This is not a call I can say i've heard before but today it was very noticable. Thanks to all who replied.
