Bird sound ID help - Cape Cod, MA, USA (1 Viewer)

Shadow's Chaser
Folks,
I've done it again. Another bird sound from the treefarm that has me stymied...

I caution you, you will probably need earphones for this one, the sounds are between 6Khz and 11Khz and I find watching the sonogram while you are listening works best.

Top link is to the file loaded in an audiostreamer, the second link is for a direct download of the MP3 file:

This recording has been post filtered using a sharp DSP Highpass filter set to a cutoff frequency of 2.6Khz. The reason is, none of the bird in question sounds go that low and this recording was made about 100 yards from where the Town DPW was installing street drains making horrendous construction noise. Especially the front-end loader and its backup alarm.

Thank you for your help,

There are a lot of bird vocalizations in this recording and it could easily be more than one species. One species I'm quite sure is in there is Black-capped Chickadee. I'm guessing there are Tufted Titmouse in there doing only their high-pitched stuff as well.

Ok, You got me... I guess I should have put a bit more time into preparing that clip...

Yes, there is at least two BC Chicadee bursts and a Titouse, but there is something else that I'm trying to identify. It may be a note that I've simply not heard before. It sounds somewhat like a sound the Tufted Titmouse makes but the frequency shift is not the same.

So, I have made another clip, 31 seconds taken from the original. As far as I can tell, only the sound I am trying to identify is all that is in this clip:

Maybe I'm just not listening to the right reference resource but I have not been able to find this one...

Thanks for your help...
