Bird houses, feeders and food - which ones to buy? (1 Viewer)

Hello birdforum-ers

I have just moved from the countryside to the city and am disappointed by the lack of birds in my new garden. I am thinking about getting a birdhouse/feeder and bird food.

I have visited the local Garden Centre but was overwhelmed by the different brands of food, houses and feeders for birds.

Can any of you share your thoughts as to which is the best brand to go with and does it really make a difference?! It seems like it's a choice between Tesco-branded cornflakes and Kelloggs cornflakes but can the birds really tell the difference?

hi i use any brand of bird food m8.
i get the same bird no matter which brand i use.

i have the most sucess on sun flower hearts..

as for bird tables, i made my own.
