Barn Swallow variation, Menorca and Crete (1 Viewer)

I had assumed that pics one and two from Menorca last month were nominate Barn Swallow but on closer study I was thrown by the apparent dark band near the rear legs and buff colour behind it. Then I looked back at a pair from Crete in late August 2012 (pic 3). Are they all nominate Barn Swallow? Thank you in advance.

Dark band is exposed skin. Suspect the buff is individual variation
