Australian Robins & Finches (1 Viewer)

Hi!
I want to do bird photography in Australia for my first visit. Is it possible to time my visit so that I can see the Gouldian Finches, in their best colors and the Pink, Rose, and Flame Robins at their best and easiest when they are down from the higher elevations?
I know the Gouldian Finches are found in the Northern Territory and the colorful Robins are found near Melbourne in the south.
I will have at least 4 weeks and would like to find the best month, or 4 week interval to be there to photograph both species.

Pink Robins (adult males) are probably easier to find in Tasmania in my experience. Flame Robins easiest in north-east Victoria (high in summer, lower in winter. Rose Robins are reliable in some forests in sw Victoria over summer months.

Thanks Steve. Could you pick one month or two where I can find both the colorful robins AND the gouldian finch in bright colors?

For the robins I would suggest Nov-Feb. Summer can be hot in se Australia. You can get Pink and Flame (also Scarlet) Robins on Mount Wellington, Hobart over summer. Rose Robins are easy enough along gullies in the Cobbboonee National Park in sw Victoria over summer. I usually see them in December. I have no knowledge of the current status of Gouldian Finch (my only sighting was in 1993). The weather in northern Australia in Dec-Feb would be very hot and possibly very wet.
