These little uninhabited islands became famous because of politics.

Anybody been there? Are they possible to visit? Are the penguins, seabirds and sea mammal colonies worth seeing? Is it possible to see the endemic Heard Shag?

According to news sources that were reporting mainly to laugh at the US government, the islands go multiple years with no-one landing at all, not even researchers. However the bird in question has been reported by someone for the Name A Bird You've Seen game on here, while on an oceanographic expedition in the islands' waters.
