Another Headless Bird (1 Viewer)

No correct answer posted as yet;will issue a clue a bit later,if necessary, when others have had a look, but it was taken in England today.

I must admit that my first impression was Dunnock but how about Linnet? My next stab would be Meadow Pipit.

I was going to say that :(

Looks like a bunting and the mantle looks quite rusty. I thought Reed Bunt till I saw it had been ruuled out.

Still no correct answer.....normally my mystery pics are solved in 2 minutes flat!

Here's another shot of same bird:

I must admit I thought of Twite then dismissed it due to London being the location so that put me onto Linnet. Oh well, I should have stuck with my gut reaction (unless we are all still wrong)

Ha! I KNEW it all along - I was only messing with my first posting.........

Anyone convinced by that?

CJW, I also knew it was a Twite right off! But I did not want to upstage all you natives, me being a foreigner and all!

Does anyone believe that?

Larry
