American Black Tern - Beadnell Bay, Northumberland (1 Viewer)

Mark Jarrett

Up Ont’ Moors
England
This bird was first noted in spring/summer 2020 and has returned each spring since. Much blacker than ‘our’ black terns and the leading white edge to the wings is clearly noticeable. Not the best photos in the mid day harsh light. The bird was also being hassled by the odd Arctic Tern, so was keeping partly hidden in the grasses.
