...I do it with the light on.
Couple of specimens from last nights haul. Would just appreciate confirmation on them as both new for me. I'm reasonably happy with my own ID but don't want that to influence you

1 & 3 Pale Tussock, this obviously scarce on Man?

and the other, if not Turnip, maybe Archer's Dart?

Whoops, agree with Angus now, Archer's Dart.
I can't believe that's new for you, Ian.

And I KNOW you've had Pale Tussock.

1 & 3 same moth from differing angles, and yes I'm happy with pale Tussock. Possible 4th Manx record, certainly scarce here.

It was 2 that I'm open to offers on.

Just a pleasant suprise to get 2 new species for me on the same trap after 15+yrs trapping. Reason for a small celebration. B :)

You're right Chris, 6th record. None of the others were mine. I'd remember this blighter had I seen him before if only from the resting posture. 1st for the South of Island anyhow!

Still not 100% on ID of No 2. More debate welcome

I've adjusted the picture somewhat to clear the detail, is the colour balance anywhere near right Swift?

Nope the colour is as per my piccy.

Unfortunately I can't see enough detail on your picture as it is too dark. I wouldn't really like to guess based on it. Have you any others?

Have a look at our Curraghs list from 29/05/04. You WERE there weren't you? Perhaps you had run away from a particularly nasty looking Harvestman or such-like

Okay, been a long day, anyway the southern ones look much better than those northerners hence the confusion (7th record ;) )
