    Purple-throated Euphonia

A little sun light spots passing through the pitanga tree and in one of them was this little gem warming up in the cold morning.

  3. Purple-throated Euphonia

    Purple-throated Euphonia

Took some shots using birdwatching mode on the P950 yesterday in the backyard, just to remember how it does. The birdwatching mode shots definitely show some lack of details comparing to the raw images, but still you can get cool images for sure when you just want some quick ready to go shots...

Some backyard fun. The weather is changing, winter is coming and with it the feeder starts to fill with euphonias and other fruit eaters looking for some bananas and papayas!
  8. Purple-throated Euphonia (female)

    Purple-throated Euphonia (female)

Some backyard fun. The little euphonias haven't been visiting much lately. Hopefully that'll change when winter comes. This lonely lady didn't stay long, but was a much appreciated visit.

  11. Purple-throated Euphonia

    Purple-throated Euphonia

More backyard fun. I don't think I've ever payed attention to this angle on these little fellows before. Beautiful white detail on the tail feathers.
  12. female Purple-throated Euphonia

    female Purple-throated Euphonia

This poor lady did not have her left eye. Had something that looked like a tumor growing where the eye were. I chose to share a picture of her "good" side to show that even with that problem, she is looking healthy and beautiful. Hope she will be ok.

A sub-adult male. This one was singing a the top of a tree. I tried to make the most of it.
