    Goshawk in Central PA?

Is this a Goshawk? I thought it was a hawk at first but the tail is long and black and the bird had a white under side and black top and wings and seemed a bit smaller and rounder than the common red tailed hawk. Any thoughts?

Uncommon Osprey, or Red-tailed Hawk? Pittsburgh, PA, July 20th

Hello, my sister spotted this huge bird under a bridge in Schenley Park on a very hot afternoon hike. We did not have binoculars with us and it was difficult to get a better shot than this one on an iPhone. I thought at first it was a red-tailed hawk, but it seemed much bigger. Maybe an Osprey...

    House Finch

I thought this little lady deserved some love. Watched her for several minutes. She was at a feeder near a bird blind and then went into this tree. It looks like something's wrong with her eyes.

    Central Pennsylvania, USA

I heard the attached song in a field central PA. I am new to birding, but I thought is sounded like a northern bobwhite which is rare to our area. The last one reported on bird in this county was 2013. I was looking for confirmation. Thanks

Help identifying Bird Call- Northwest Pennsylvania

Hello! Today while sitting outside in my backyard, I came across this bird call. I’ve never heard anything like it before by my house. It was either perched in a tree or in a shrub- I couldn’t get close enough to tell as it was in my neighbor’s yard. Any help would be appreciated!!

Help Identifying Duck Species --North-eastern Pennsylvania

Hello, I was hoping someone could help me identify this duck species. I saw it in Northeastern Pennsylvania with a group of mallards. It's larger than the mallards. The body is more of a chocolate brown. I thought the head looked similar to a Northern Pintail's, but the body is off, and the...

Not the best day ever, but I feel like I made a contribution

Today, I went to a hotspot without many checklists. I didn't see many species, but it was raining off and on, so maybe that's why. I saw red-winged blackbirds, grey catbirds, robins, a cardinal, and a wood thrush. Why I feel that I made a contribution is that according to ebird, I was the...
