    Cute lady

    We had a run down to the banks of the River Tay in the Invergowrie area. Pulling in and stopping whereever we safely could on the narrow winding roads. One stop produced a flock of House Sparrows in a hedge. This was a female, as I rather liked her pose.

    House sparrow

    The house sparrow is an introduced species in Australia. Interestingly, I've learned that these birds are less common in Sydney than they used to be, decades ago. Anyway, here is a nice picture of a male sparrow. There were a few others nearby (male, female and juvenile).
