Through window glass. I'm having to get used to double glazing, which often makes focusing difficult, though not on this occasion. Thank you for your comments, and good birding! John

Also known as the Hedge Sparrow. From my brother's lawn five years ago. Thank you for your comments, stay safe and well. John

One of the most underrated of British birds. Hedge Sparrow, Hedge Accentor or Dunnock, call it what you will, they're still something more than just 'little brown jobs'.

It's That Time of Year Again

... That brief period when Dunnocks come up from their grubbing around on the ground and sing in the trees, almost as tame as our Robins.

    Sidmouth Dunnock Again

This bird was quite brave for a Dunnock and was running around in the ornamental gardens by the cliff top.

Llanelli is such a great place to visit. I went there today and saw a pair of Black Swans and a Snow Goose! (And lots of other birds.)

OK, as I expect you've spotted, it's the same bird as the Dunnock.
