    means this is the other ladder-backed woodpecker of the area - the Golden-fronted. My guides had seen at least one the first day, but it wouldn't pose for a photo and I'm not sure I saw it at all, certainly not well enough to make the ID. This one at Bentsen was far more cooperative.
