    CanadaXBarnacle hybrid? Clingendael, NL

Hi all, I was looking back through some old photos of mine and found this one. Taken in Clingendael, The Hague, Netherlands on December 26th 2021. It was in a flock of Barnacle Geese (Branta leucopsis). Is this a Canada Goose X Barnacle Goose hybrid? It looks quite a bit like a Cackling Goose...

  4. Canada Goose

    Canada Goose

Taken at Lake Merritt (Oakland, CA, USA) at about 10m. There is a good chance resident Canada geese outnumber pigeons at Lake Merritt, the place is thick with them. Upside? Lots of photo opportunities.
  5. Canada Goose

    Canada Goose

Taken at the Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area (Lake Boris) at about 30m. One small group of geese as apparently getting territorial with another small group of geese. This one took a brief hop flight to get away from them.
  6. Canada Goose

    Canada Goose

Taken at the Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area (Lake Boris) at about 20m. Lucky enough to catch a number of close-up BiF photos of the geese. Quite beautiful to see at this range.
  7. Canada Goose

    Canada Goose

Taken at the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline at about 20m. I've find these geese tricky to photograph, oddly. Probably the times of day I go are really shadowy or dark and the geese are so dark black in the eye/head/neck. Anyway, finally got one I reasonably liked.
  8. Canada Goose

    Canada Goose

Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) Currently there are seven-elevation recognized subspecies with several subspecies wintering in Texas. This is one of those individuals that decided not to migrate back north since life was easy for it here or it was taking its time leaving. Photographed in Moss...
