Bird feeder wars are an endless supply of entertainment. I expect someone jumped the queue here and was dressed down.

    Pecks and Peanuts

How many peanuts can a bluejay get at once? This and many other life altering questions are scrupulously documented here in.

    Part Two

As the Oriole made its way up to the oranges... the sad thing we all saw coming... came. The Blue Jay scared off the female, which was something that would possibly attract the local male to the feeder.

This female Baltimore Oriole is perched below a Blue Jay, who is also guarding the Oriole's favorite snack... there's only one thing that can happen next.

Blue Jays abound on our property. Very bossy and loud ! However they don't always win all the bird arguments. Happy to introduce this picture using my new addition of an Olympus 70-300mm lens. (Rated at 140-600mm) First use taking pictures today.)

    Backyard Blue Jay

It's winter here in Michigan and many kinds of birds come to the feeders. When the Jays show up, many of the others tend to scatter. This guy was sitting in a nearby tree.
