    after leaving the lochan i walked around by the picnic tables,the female sparrowhawk swooped past about 5 feet above the ground it had to bank to the left to get past me

    i recorded a song thrush with the merlin app,the bird was close and loud when i played it back on my phone it was a lot quieter when i downloaded it and played it on my desktop computer i couldnt hear anything ,can anyone hear the bird ?

    the mutes now have 3 yougsters, im wondering if there may still be eggs in the nest which the birds may still incubate?3 seems a low number i was at clatto earlier they have 7 ,the newt numbers are right down hopefully they havent been netted
