    My first encounter of the species. I was looking out of the balcony of my motel in Dalat when this fella flew by, landed on a colorful branch nearby and start bathing gleefully from the morning dew.

    Sandpiper? - Vung Tau, Vietnam - Oct 24

    I stumbled upon this bold guy landing on a rock very close to the shore. I wasn't carrying my 7D II at the time so I had to zoom all the way in with crappy iPhone camera, hence the poor image quality. I guess it was a sandpiper species but I'm not sure. Please help me identify it, thank you.

    Thank you for your answer, The first one was taken in October The second one was in June Both were taken at Khanh Hoa province, South Central Coast Region of Vietnam. I'm blind when it comes to eagles and they were so high that the image quality was terrible.
