    Another walk out along front too Son Real this morning produced at least 4 each of Theklas and Tawny Pipit, Balearic Warbler, Kentish Plover and a mountain of Sardinian and Stonechat. A Scops Owl is calling somewhere beyond the Lidl tonight.

    Brill couple hours this morning, Nightjar churring on the approach road, Depodura had 4 Whiskered and 2 Gull-billed Tern, 2 Turtle Dove, Marbled Ducks etc. Small pool along main road to Alcudia held 2 Avocet, 26 Flamingo and at least 2 Moustached Warbler where singing along the track there.

    Mostly family stuff so far but a Bonellis Eagle today over south end of Cam Picafort was unexpected, Turtle Dove on Saturday was nice and a good mix of med stuff around grounds and parks, 2 B Vulture, Booted Eagle and a Redstart Pollensa yday .....Depodura early tmw with a mate if anyone's about...

    The 2 best sites for Collared Pratincole are probably Albufera and Salobar de Campos (think that's right Mike?) This is near the southern tip of the island....Good luck with your birding . Jonny

    Also called Toucan Marsh i think, Maristany is right behind the Lidl supermarket on the roundabout in Alcudia. A nice easy site for an hour or 2 visit in the morning or evening.

    Hi Mike - i am sure others have had the same luck with Wryneck, but i have almost always seen a pair at the entrance to the Boquer, generally between the 2 gates leading to the finca, as well as in the orchard at the mouth of the valley....i have seen these in both late April and later into May...

    Will do Mike! i think i will be able to walk out to the old bus depot and on to the Depudora platform, and i have used the bus along to the north before so will be doing that also. are the little saltpans half way along main road to Albufera still attracting birds do you know ?

    Hi all - i have a week in Can Picafort (staying near southern end of town near Aldi) from 4th May. I have visited Son Real before, is it possible to access there from the town along the beach/seafront? also, any other sites within walking distance? any help or advice appreciated. Jonny
