Why can't Swarovski get a little thing right? NL Objective cover issues.
I have not had the problem with the objective covers tearing since remembering not to lay the Nls on the hinge. Laying them horizontally on the opposite side or vertically seems to have fixed the problem for me. Or perhaps, the most recent batch of objective covers that Swarovski sent have... -

There is no need for ANY alpha optics, especially, when you can't appreciate their quality, and when lesser quality optics will do the job for you, nearly or just as well. -

Dennis, I totally agree with your assesment of the Papilio, except its view isn't quite as bright as the Curio. As far as its focusing knob, the Papilio has the smoothest of any focusing knob on any binocular I have ever used regardless of price. I still prefer my VP 8x25 over both the Curio... -

Is it just me?
I just had cataract surgery. Any upgrade from an ordinary binocular to an alpha can't compare to the upgrade in my vision following this surgery. A fog has been lifted and has been replaced by a clarity with colors popping again, like I can't even remember. Even ordinary binos after surgery... -

Swarovski Curio 7x21 versus Victory 8x25 and Ultravid 8x20
I can't share your view that the Curio has a more immersive image than the VP. I lived with the Curio for a few weeks before trying the VP, the reverse order that you have done. With the eye cups fully extended on the VP, perhaps the AFOV is cut off somewhat, but that shouldn't be the case when... -

Would you get an NL Pure 32mm if you already had a 42, or maybe something else?
I can easily one hand my VP8x25 and keep it steady enough. However, I woould agree that the larger FOV of the Nl may come in handier for finding the sweet spot with which to aim your scope. I still don't think I would like lugging the weight and bulk of all the equipment you lug around. -

Eye Relief problems in ZV pocket?

Tenex, I totally agree that it is worthwhile holding the VP against the orbit near your brow, whether you have issues with blackouts or not. For me, perhaps, stability was the more important benefit of holding my small binoculars that way. There is no extra effort for me holding the VP against... -

You should try the 8x 25 VP. Don't rule it out just because the 10x25 VP didn't work for you. The 10x25 VP with its smaller exit pupil, makes it a bit more finicky with eye placement, with or without glasses. BTW, when using my 8x25 VP without glasses, the top edge of the extended eye cup... -
