No, there are woods about 25m behind us, but at the time that this photo was taken they were not lit by direct sunlight. Essentially no post processing except a little cropping and some vignetting to highlight the subject. My philosophy has always been to get it right in the camera. I have lots of experience with PS but I am basically lazy, I don't like to have to spend a lot of time in post processing to fix...- STM

There really is not a whole lot to tell I guess. I used a long lens (600mm f/4 ED IF AIS Nikkor), on a monopod. This lens is a veritable beast of a lens at 14+ pounds, pushing 18 pounds with the D850 and battery grip, and is not really easily hand holdable, so a tripod (preferably with a gimbal...- STM
