    Thinking I saw a male and female gargany on a pond on Orkney mainland last friday. Can anyone confirm? Quite unusual apparently. Returned on Saturday and took the female with duckling shots. Are these garganey too or some more common? TomC

    Wader id Scotland

    New South Wales - bird of prey

    Visiting the region so don't know what's likely /possible... Took this yesterday - just inland from Kiama. Could it be a black kite? Or too difficult to tell? TomC (normally at home in Scotland 😄)

    Saw the attached bird of prey above the Botanic Gardens, Putrajaya, Malaysia. A sign was suggesting sightings of Crested Goshawk. But doesn't look likely to me. Anyone? TomC
