    Apologies for standard of photo. It was taken as a reaction, from many hundreds of yards distance, through a train carriage window. It looks like a goose with distinctive colours and was flying over Lake Namtso in Tibet. Many thanks to anyone who can help with an id.

    This non digital original was taken in the Cairns area in 2001 and is therefore slightly worn. However am hoping that some knowledgeable person out there will be able to help in identifying the geese who seem to be enjoying lording it over the ducks in the water.

    Shocked to look up from the computer to see the heron and then the unwelcoming rook/crow. Those black birds gang up on the heron and try to usher it out of their neighbourhood. This time, only the one doing its damnedest to frighten the bigger predator.

    Pretty sure the bird ruffling its feathers and searching for cooling sand by shuffling its body, is a Booby. Unfortunately its posture hides the colour of the feet. Would anyone be able to identify which Booby from the rest of the features. Many thanks, Iain

    Many thanks to those who identified the last photo as a Red-Billed Tropicbird. The tail on this bird seems to identify it also as a Tropicbird. However a red beak is missing. Would someone like to suggest the missing hue to the bill? Many thanks, Iain

    Walking home from across Coe Fen around 08:30, a lady cyclist pointed out to her daughter a heron walking around the edges of the field. Spotted it and wished the camera was around. Then remembered it was in the back-pack!
