Which one to choose for my first spotting scope?
I have had a few Spotter's over the years and my go to full size Spotter is rthe Meopta S2 82 Angled with a 20-70 eyepiece. Amazingly bright and the edge to edge clarity is phenominal. I have the Meopta MeoPro HD 80 and I'm very happy with it. I looked thru a lot of spotters before choosing the Meopta, many costing a lot more. For the price, Meopta brings you a lot of quality.- bartd

My Most Important Binoculars?
I have the Meopta MeoStar B1 Plus 8X32 and love them. Excellent clarity and easy to focus. I bought them for a Rhine River trip with my wife, knowing they'd find their way into my back pack later. Meopta Meopro HD80
You will love the S2 Spotter from Meopta. I have let two friends use mine, and both now have their own. I have also used Meopta's Meopix Uni 2 with my iPhone to photograph Raptors. I was surprised at how well it works for the price. I know everyone has their own opinion. I don't think you can... -

I am in the same boat. I don't see spending more money when what I am going to get isn't going to be an improvement over the MeoStar B1 Plus binos. Need your suggestion about birding binocular, I plan to buy a Meopta B1, not B1.1
I borrowed a friend's MeoStar B1 Plus 8x42 binos last year to watch waterfowl. I used them for about 2 weeks, many times early in the morning at first light and I was very impressed. Amazing light-gathering which is a known Meopta trait but also the field of view and the clarity let me... -

The way to MY binocular
A vote for the Meopta MeoStar B1 Plus 8-x10/42 binos. I have had the 8x42 for 18 months now and just purchased the 12x50's and they are equally impressive. For low light viewing, it's the larger exit pupil of the 8's that win, but for sunrise to sunset, the 12's are everything I wanted them to...- bartd

The diopter does not lock on my 10x42's. There IS Fluoride in the 8 and 10X MeoPro Air HD bino's and the FOV on the 8's is 140 meters at 1000 meters. The 10's are110 meters at 1000 meters. Eitan., thanks for the math help. -

I do not think so. If anything I think the 8 is brighter, to my eyes, than the 10's I have. If I could only have one pair, it would be the 8's, hands down. I use them for waterfowl scouting in the early morning and late evening as well as watching cattle. -

I get it about the inaccuracies, but I can assure you, the 8X MeoStar Plus model does not have fluoride lenses. I was told that because they are 8X magnification that the difference was imperceptible, unlike on higher magnification binos. I have the 8X and I truly think they are the best binos... -

Nikon doesn't have any at all to move is what I was told, especially the Anniv issue ones. Mine is still in the box unopened. Have not looked through them but I have looked through a non-Anniv issue pair and they are amazing.
