    So having googled it since your reply, I remember it coming up but wasn't sure and when I read the first line of Ebird description which reads ('Uncommon and local, rather small hummingbird') I think I dismissed it at the time. Anyway thanks again.

    My brother who is not a birdwatcher, sent me a photo of a Hummingbird taken while out in Costa Rica this week 02/04/24 via WhatsApp. I don't have an exact location but could find out if required. I can't find the right bird to name it. Photo I think taken with a mobile phone? So not the best image!

    Thank you always bugged me not properly ID'ing it , was a long way off & was a snapshot before driver moved on unaware of its presence as with a lot of birds, but being a Safari trip he was looking out for the animals more.
