    ? Thrush, SouthPadreIsland, Texas, USA

I'm leaning toward Wood Thrush because of the reddish color but the cheek and throat do not seem to be as defined as photos in field guides, yet it seems too reddish for the Hermit Thrush. I'm sure someone in this forum can answer for me. Thank you

Rufous Hummingbird?, Laguna Vista, TX, USA

There were several hummingbirds in the yard today, 3 with rufous sides and spotted throats, some with red in the center. Maybe 1 is a female, or a juvenile. 1 seems to be a male based on the amount of rufous on the body. Thank you.

    Gadwalls? Bayview, TX, USA

Thank you all. I learned a lot from your thoughts. BwTeals are known to be early arrival and late departure here and I saw 2 fly past my house last week with blue wings showing clearly. The birds I posted must be BwTeal.

    Gadwalls? Bayview, TX, USA

Noticeable dark eye line, bill shape but I'm not familiar with the plumage. Seems to be like immature in field guide. Ebird flags Gadwall as rare. Thank you.

Hope for ID of this likely migrant in central Maine, USA 2017.

Thank you very much for this. I am weak in identifying sandpipers and this one, being a partial capture of the bird, was frustrating. I am relieved to finally know.

Hope for ID of this likely migrant in central Maine, USA 2017.

I believe I found the original group of photos from the location and day of my original photo. I think it is likely one of the sandpipers repeated in these photos: Sanderling ? and Semipalmated ? Least ? Thank you all for your time.

Hope for ID of this likely migrant in central Maine, USA 2017.

I refound this never identified bird from birding a farm pond September 1, 2017. Not a great photo but the markings on the head are distinctive. Thanks for any suggestions.

?Wild duck, Laguna Vista, TX, USA

This duck was with our resident Redhead this morning. The eyeline is striking but I cannot find a duck quite like it. Maybe domestic hybrid? Thank you.

ID help, South Padre Island, TX,USA

Are the 2 gulls both Laughing? I don't think I have seen brown heads. And are the shorebirds hatch year Godwits? I believe I recognize the plumage but the bill is not really long, nor colored. Thank you.

ID for hawk, Harlingen, TX, USA

This hawk was perched on sunflowers along a vacant field in a commercial area. Most likely is probably Red-tailed but I don't see a red tail or breast-band. Thank you.

ID help for plover, Laguna Vista, TX, USA

I photographed this individual, separated from other birds on the flats at Holly Beach. The neck band is incomplete, the bill seems short, the color is too dark for Piping and not dark enough for Semipalmated. Snow Plovers have been reported farther up the valley. I did find adult...
