    Kestrel(?) with a small bird

Nice photos! I'm thinking the prey is a large insect or rodent but not sure. However, this is no Kestrel, its a female Montagu's or Pallid Harrier and I think its a Pallid. When was this taken? edit: just seen the date - so probably a female Montagu's (which breed close to you).

    White or pied wagtail?

Nothing to suggest Pied here ;) I think I can see a bit of the grey rump. I was simplistic in my early answer basically because although young Pieds probably go overlooked in southern Iberia, they are in a vast minority to White Wagtail, which is a super abundant wintering bird. An ad. Pied will...

    Any thoughts from Mallorca?

I think for Hume's ID you need very detailed photographs or of course calls.

    White or pied wagtail?

Your bird is a White Wagtail - an abundant wintering and scarce breeding species in your area and the one found normally throughout Europe). Pied Wagtail is the subspecies of the nominate White from the British Isles. Its a scarce/rare winter visitor to southern Spain. Pied's are fairly easily...

Arums in Sicily - ID help needed

Correction; The similar, but different Arisarum simorrhinum is ours in Portugal, see http://flora-on.pt/index.php#/1arisarum Looks good for A.vulgare indeed

Arums in Sicily - ID help needed

Yes it might be - the leaves look good. The "hood" seems a strange shape to me though and seems to be flowering earlçy - ours here, where super abundant, aren't quite in flower yet, some leaf though.

Arums in Sicily - ID help needed

Very nice pdf. thanks. I can make one criticism regarding the notes on arundanum; it states "Restricted to terra rossa soil" - I found this on non-limestone soil by rocky outcrops of a shale type. Flora ibérica states its found on many soils and presents stable morphological differences between...

Arums in Sicily - ID help needed

I think we cross-posted. Seems like B.tenuifolium has a consensus :-O As an aside, B.arundanum is treated as a full species by Flora ibérica.

Arums in Sicily - ID help needed

It seems Biarum arundanum isn't in Italy, looking at Flora Italiana website it may well be Biarum tenuifolium - here's a link to the Biarum page: http://luirig.altervista.org/flora/taxa/floraspecie.php?genere=Biarum

Arums in Sicily - ID help needed

The 2nd photo looks as a Biiarum, maybe Biarum arundanum, which I've seen in Portugal. http://flora-on.pt/index.php#/1Biarum+arundanum

    Meadow pipit? Malaga, Spain 13/0ctober

I'd be happy calling this a Crested Lark :t: Thekla's can be ruled out due to the long looking bill and tentatively because sandy plumage tones as well as being highly unlikely at the location, where Crested is common.

    Meadow pipit? Malaga, Spain 13/0ctober

Looks as Crested Lark to me - on structure.

    fish hunting bird at Ibiza

No doubt about this being a juv/imm desmarestii Shag. Structure, thin bill and pale feet alone, ignoring the pale underparts make it a Shag.

Yes good for them! I was thinking along those lines too!

    Aberdeenshire Newburgh Plover ?

It does look a little small billed but the white rump visible in the last photo leaves no doubt; Grey Plover

    Long-legged Buzzard? Alentejo Portugal

As an aside, Buteo rufinus rufinus hasn't been recorded in Iberia AFAIK., only B.r.cirtensis. However, as has been extensively discussed on BF, this taxon may well be closer to B.buteo. The structure of the bird in Bert's photo doesn't convey any kind of rufinus to my eye. (unreliable as it may...

    Long-legged Buzzard? Alentejo Portugal

Bert, although Robin is an abundant winter visitor to your/my area, there is (and always has been) a solid breeding population in south west Portugal. They are somewhat more discreet than our winter visitors and breed mainly in shady areas in Oak woodland. The Greylag is interesting, though...

    Which Wader could this be?

I think they are most likely Little Stints; small size, general colour/tone and structure suggest this. Also, the chance of being something that looks similar would basically mean a rarity - and as there are more than one bird..... Of course Temminck's could also be a possibility but again, much...

    Vagrant Sandpiper Findhorn Bay, Scotland?

One more for Baird's, a juv. - and yes, a lovely wader. I've only seen one, similar to your bird and I found it too ;)

    Booted Eagle, Tarifa

I like that Booted Eagle, its so full of "migratory urge" - really going for it! (now what's that excellent German word for "migratory urge" again?)
