Birding at Loch of Kinnordy
the Smew was still there at noon today in front of the east hide, but across on the far side of the loch. It was diving a lot making it quite hard to see. -

Wild in Aberdeen - City and Shire

What makes a good hide?
The best hide I know of is my car. It's moveable, adaptable, comfortable, and I don't have to share it with anyone if I don't want to. It also plays music quietly and serves food and drink as required.- Ken Hall

Hi Joseph, glad to see you are enjoying your photography. Your photos are pretty good too! I hope you don't mind if I make a suggestion. Your shutter speed of 1/500 sec is really way too slow for birds in flight, or birds in dive. You would obtain a faster speed if you used the camera in... -

This forenoon at The Lurgies, Montrose Basin - Common Crane, Little Egret, Canada Goose and Kingfisher. Also about 10 Greenshanks, but I couldn't find any Green or Common Sandpipers. -
