Identification

Grey above, darker grey wings, triangular white throat patch, grey breast-band, small white crescent below the eye.

Distribution

Bolivia, Chile, and Peru.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

This species has in the past been placed in genus Phrygilus.

Habitat

High-altitude grassland.
