There are 2 subspecies[1]:
- C. m. megalopterus:
- Mexican plateau
- C. m. nelsoni:
- Mountains of southern Mexico (eastern Puebla, south-western Veracruz and Oaxaca)
Habitat
Coniferous forests. Observed at heights around 1,313 m.
Behaviour
Diet
There is little information available. They probably eat invertebrates.
