Identification

14 cm (5½ in); a small species with a plain face

Distribution

Africa: endemic to Madagascar.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Has been placed in the genus Phyllastrephus in the past.

Habitat

Montane evergreen rainforests between 800 m and 2000 m.

Behaviour

Diet

Little has been recorded, but they are thought to be mainly insectivorous. Often seen foraging with Spectacled Tetraka and other species.
