Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.
Taxonomy
There are 2 subspecies:
- C. d. duivenbodei:
- Coastal northern New Guinea (Geelvink Bay to Aitape region)
- C. d. syringanuchalis:
- Coastal lowlands of New Guinea (Aitape to Astrolabe Bay)

Diet
The diet inclues fruit, seeds, buds, nectar, and grain.
Breeding
The eggs are incubated for 24-25 days.
