Distribution
Southern South America: central Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and southeast Brazil.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
This is a monotypic species[1].
Black-and-chestnut Warbling-Finch was recently split from this species.
Habitat
Forests, forests borders near water, savannas and & reed beds
Behaviour
Diet
There is little information available on their diet. They feed on or near the ground in mixed species flocks.
