    Website image protection

I have been following this thread with some interest. Basically whatever can be viewed on the monitor screen can be easily 'borrowed' with a simple PrintScreen command. There are programs that can scroll and capture entire browser pages with all pictures at one go. One enterprising fellow had...

    Sandisk Rescue Pro: help needed!

Here is a link to a program designed specifically to recover damaged or corrupt RAW files. The extension however seems to be .crw rather than *.CR2. Maybe its worth a try. http://www.crwrepair.com/ I have also used PC Inspector and Recuva successfully to recover JPG files...

Image enlargement using Seam carving/Seam removal techniques

The Intuimage version certainly seems to be a case of the 'oil-paint' effect with a little Picasso-style cubism thrown into the mix. Here is an enlargement using Resizor [Lanczos resampling filter] : http://www.kashmirnetwork.com/birds/stuff/orginal_resizor.jpg

Normally enlarging smaller images creates a lot of pixelation but seam carving techniques claim to to enlarge the images without pixelation. In my experience the technique seems...

Thanks SB, Kashmir is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the world. Unfortunately it isnt as peaceful as it could have been. Some more pictures here: http://www.kashmirnetwork.com/gallery/ It is actually a female Red-crested Pochard rather than a female Smew. I guess I skipped the...

    Smew ID confirmation please

This flock of coots returns to the same spot on the Dal Lake in Kashmir every winter. http://www.kashmirnetwork.com/birds/stuff/coots.jpg Life in black-and-white must get boring for these fellas cause this year they have added a dash of colour in the shape of a lone Red-crested Pochard that...
