    Merlin explore location frozen

I did restart it. It didn't seem to change anything. I don't know what is different but the soft reset did fix it somehow.

    Merlin explore location frozen

I'd rather not go to the level of a full factory reset. I usually keep phones for 3-4 years until I can't update the OS and important apps won't update anymore. Almost entirely because I don't want to deal with reloading all my apps and signing in to everything. Luckily the soft reset fixed it...

    Merlin explore location frozen

My phone has been doing weird stuff in other apps so maybe it's just my phone. Has anyone else seen this issue?

    Merlin explore location frozen

Interesting idea, you may be right. I checked and it's on version 3.0.3, but the play store says the last update was Dec 27th. I'll try the beta thing and see how that goes.

    Merlin explore location frozen

I've been using Merlin for a while and often use the explore function to see what might be around in a place I'm traveling to. When typing in the location, it used to autofill some options and you could click one, or just pick from the map. Starting maybe a week ago, it won't do anything. You...

    it's a puzzle

Like literally. More identification help here, I got a puzzle for Christmas of mostly backyard birds and can identify everything but one. There is of course, no location information but they are all North American birds as far as I can tell. Any ideas or anyone have the same puzzle?

    Cheap craigslist spotting scope

The EP is indeed fixed so no swapping that out. But I'm going for simple no fuss and that would likely double the overall investment anyway. As for that last line, does this thread cover it well enough or is there more to add...

    Cheap craigslist spotting scope

A little follow up. Just had a birthday and this seemed like a good opportunity. I wasn't comfortable asking for something even in the $200 range. I ended up getting a Celestron Landscout 12x36. I like that it's decently compact and simple. Obviously no where near as powerful as the 60x scopes...

    Pewee or fly catcher?

A couple more shots from Saturday for good measure. I saw them again on the same branch on Sunday. I'm going with Cordilleran. Thanks guys.

    Pewee or fly catcher?

True, virtually no eyeing on the Pewee, so that's out (That's what was the one on my life list so something new then). And the pictures are a little deceptive, there was barely any color except for the yellow mostly on the lower breast and maybe a tinge of olive on the back so I'm leaning toward...

    Pewee or fly catcher?

Took those pictures yesterday, figured I'd take another look at the same spot for a better look and of course he's (they're actually, there are 2-3 at least) back. They're more olive than I initially thought, but only very subtly. Any other features I should look for?

    Pewee or fly catcher?

I haven't read enough about it, but I figured as much, they're in the same category in the Merlin app at least. Thanks for the info.

    Pewee or fly catcher?

More. I have some video but too big to upload here, I'll have to upload to YouTube or something.

    Pewee or fly catcher?

Spotted in Estes Park, Colorado. I can't figure this one out. I think it's either a Western Wood-Pewee or a Dusky flycatcher, one I have on my life list, one I don't. It could possibly be a few other Flycatcher species as well. Going off the Merlin app, the description points to both. For the...

    Cheap craigslist spotting scope

Thanks for the assessment. What would you say is a passable field of view?
