Young Gull, Great Black-backed Gull

Another picture from that day at Hauxley.

I was tempted to title this "Herring Gull" 'cos i knew everyone would say it isn't and maybe, just maybe someone would ID it for me.
I don't really do gulls, and I really, really don't do young ones!

Thanks everyone, with your comments and others It would appear to be a 2nd winter Great Black-backed Gull, so I've now added the details.

A superb picture of this large youngster D. Beautiful setting, it looks quite comfortable on its perch. Excellent!!!
 
I think it's a Great Black-backed Gull juvenile . The white head and shoulders . Young Herring gulls are all mottled
I could be wrong though

Young Gulls are a big source of confusion for me as well. A lovely capture D.
 
No idea but a great shot anyway, Delia, Im hoping it a Ringed-bill for you! We get loads of gulls here too and i cant tell one juvie from t'other;)
 
Lovely capture, Delia! Think it's probably a Greater Black-back but I'm not great at young gulls.
