Whiskered Tern /Chlidonias hybridus/ (Chlidonias hybridus)

About 600 couples of this species breed in Bulgaria, along the majestic Danube.
They choose marsh lakes and build their nests on floating plants, usually on White Waterlily /Nymphaea alba/. Their colonies are often joined by Black and Common terns, making the clamor and chatter even louder.
