Waiting for the ferry (Tringa totanus)

We had a day near Thurso before taking the ferry to Orkney. We spent that day on a drive to Dunnet Head and a quick walk around the harbour at Scrabster. I got us a bit lost en route to Dunnet Head and while turning around we discovered we were using the driveway to a birdhide by a wetland a local farmer had constructed out of a troublesome damp field. Turned out to be a great spot!
