Uncommon Common Buzzard
Location
West Sweden
Date taken
01-09-2012
Scientific name
Buteo buteo
he certainly is light coloured ove...a wonderful flight shot...well done...

Very well focused and detailed study of this unusual buzzard, Ove.

A beautiful bird, very sharp, and the delicate rufous or pinkish tinge to the wing linings and body is especially attractive. Common Buzzard is highly variable and I'm not sure this bird is necessarily leucistic, but a look at the various buzzard species in Collins shows how difficult this whole area is (as bad as gulls!). Anyway, lovely image Ove.

he sure is special, Ove, a real beauty and a wonderful aerial capture, top marks, many tfs!!
