Torn between two lovers (Callipepla gambelii)

This female kept going back and forth between the two males. As soon as one would start to leave she'd change her mind and go to the other. Oh, to have that problem!
Habitat
Found in dense brushy cover, often in large groups.
Location
Backyard, Hereford, Arizona
Date taken
December 2, 2006
Scientific name
Callipepla gambelii
Equipment used
Canon 20D with 50-500mm Sigma Lens
Beautiful, and unusual species, attractive red-crest in the males. Lisa, you are right, I have a kind of 'preference' for hummers, for me it isincredible how they, so small, are able to do wht they do. You know what I'm talking about, for Arizona is a good place to see these wonderful little birds, too!

Is not that typical of females, never being able to make up their minds! Or maybe she just felt sorry for the one being left out...? Lovely "family shot"!
